This weekend sucks for movie-goers!
The last weekend in February is not popular for much. By now, everyone has already been either swept off their feet or recovering from the depressing ice-cream binge from Valentine’s Day.
Let’s identify why this weekend sucks!
In theaters Feb 22nd: Snitch – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stars in another action film that seems to be aimed towards drawing crowds from men who love action films. Remember Faster and Doom? They were mediocre films and good for that late night movie moments when you want to fall asleep but not good for much else. The films lacked a good plot, substance and great supporting actors and really did not do too well in the box office.

The Rock’s character made a deal with the United States Attorney to go undercover in a drug cartel. If he succeeds, he will free his son from a ten year imprisonment sentence for drug trafficking. He has to protect his family, himself and free his son all in one shot.
Audiences can expect great action scenes, a mediocre plot, a predictable ending and a testosterone filled film.
Besides ‘Snitch’ which has a 53% positive review on rottentomatoes, another film named Dark Skies is set to compete for the charts this weekend. The horror film can be compared to Insidious and other movies about demon children, nothing the public hasn't already seen!
But if you are an action fan or in dire need of a horror movie, check these two movies out at a local Miami theater.
