This Friday, two of the biggest comedians working today team up in the magician-themed comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone”, while Halle Berry tries to save Abigail Breslin from a kidnapper in the thriller “The Call”. “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone”: This comedy directed by Don Scardino stars Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi as famous Las Vegas magicians Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton, who find their act in jeopardy when competition arises in the form of street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey). It doesn’t help that they don’t even like each other anymore. In order to save both their act and their friendship, Burt has to rediscover his love of magic. Runtime: 100 minutes. Rated PG-13 for sexual content, dangerous stunts, a drug-related incident and language.
“The Call”: This thriller directed by Brad Anderson stars Halle Berry as 911 operator Jordan Turner. When a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) calls her after she has just been abducted, Jordan must confront a killer from her past in order to save her. Runtime: 95 minutes. Rated R for violence, disturbing content and some language.
