The Treasure Valley is immersed in winter, with a rough week of icy roads and school closures coming to an end. But don’t worry. The weekend is here and there are plenty of diversions to take your mind off all that. In fact, why not embrace all that winter has to offer? McCall Winter Carnival Whether you want to check out the amazing snow sculptures, go tubing, enjoy the Children’s Torchlight Parade, watch fireworks over Payette Lake, or take in the Black and Blue Rivalry hockey game between BSU and U of I, you’ll find plenty to do in McCall. Full Moon Friday Night at the Nordic Center On the Friday night closest to a full moon, Bogus Basin keeps the Nordic Center open late for night skiing, and they offer half priced group lessons, and discounted rental fees.
