Looking for a way to get your family off the couch this weekend? Head down to Bronco Stadium on Saturday, April 12, and take part in a variety of fun fitness challenges, sign up for Optimist football or cheerleading to keep your kids active in sports through autumn, then stick around for the annual Spring Game.
Activities, including football and cheerleading sign-ups, start at 1 p.m. The game kicks off at 5 p.m.
Kids 12 and under who sign up for Optimist football and cheerleading can take part in the Optimist Youth Football Experience. Let your young ones go through interactive drills with Bronco players down on The Blue. This takes place from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while sign-ups go from 1 to 4 p.m., all at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex. At 2:45, the youth can listen to a pep talk from BSU head football coach Bryan Harsin.
Kids won’t be the only ones having fun and getting a little exercise, though. Men can take part in the St. Luke’s Men’s Health Mini Combine, from 3 to 5 p.m. This takes place in the Ford Fan Zone outside Entrance D to Bronco Stadium. Guys can run through the same drills as the pros, measure their vertical jump, wing span, broad jump, and more.
The Bronco Fit Challenge, also taking place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Ford Fan Zone, is for kids 12 and under. Kids can earn a free ticket to the Spring Game by competing in select events. They can also interact with Bronco football greats at each station, and meet two-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong.
