Tech Fest at The Works
On Saturday, February 25 from 9 am – 5 pm, families are invited to celebrate National Engineers Week with the folks at The Works. Here, kids can interact with real engineers while doing hands-on projects like making their own silly putty and building a mini-flashlight. Other activities include robot demonstrations, magnet experiments and planetarium shows. The Works is located at 9740 Grand Ave South in Bloomington. Tickets for this event are $5 per person, member price is $4 each and kids under 3 are free.
Minnesota Parent Camp Fair
Scope out the best summer activities for your kids at the 6th Annual Minnesota Parent Camp Fair. Here you will find information on day or sleep-away camps and camps that cultivate your child’s interest in various areas from animals to the arts to computers. This event is held at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul on Saturday, February 25 from 10 am – 2 pm. Meet characters from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax
If you or your children are looking forward to the March 2 opening of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, take them to the meet-and-greet at the Mall of America with characters from the film. Appearances will be on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7:30 – 9 a.m. in the Rotunda as part of the coinciding JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and on Sunday, Feb. 26 from noon – 3:30 pm in the Sears Court.
