Looking for something different to do this weekend? Consider checking out the Shaka Zulu Mardi Gras Ball, which takes place Saturday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. This third annual event offers an authentic Mardi Gras experience featuring Cajun cuisine as well as traditional Louisiana fanfare.
That includes Second Line dancing, zydeco, jazz and more. Proceeds will benefit the Verline Iris Culinary Academy, which trains San Francisco youth to embark on culinary careers.
The ball takes place at the West Bay Conference Center, 1290 Fillmore Street. General admission is $50 per person or $90 per couple and includes a buffet. For VIP tickets, which includes reserved seating, bottle service, personal waitstaff and gift bags, you’ll be paying $80 per person or $150 per couple.
Enjoy!
