There are two more art festivals in Southwest Florida this weekend:
The 35th Annual Naples National Art Festival takes place on the weekend of February 22 & 23 in Cambier Park and along 8th Avenue in Naples, just steps away from Naples’ historic Fifth Avenue South. This is the #10 art festival in the United States according to Sunshine Artist Magazine, and has been in the top ten five years running.
Because of its national ranking and the beautiful weather in Southwest Florida during this time of year, Naples National draws some of the finest artists in the country. Together, they provide a diverse array of artworks that include original oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, panel and galvanized aluminum, watercolors on paper, 2D and 3D mixed media, limited edition prints, photography, digital art, metal sculpture, wood carvings, ceramics, art jewelry, leather works and more.
The local community counts Naples National among its premiere, must–see events thanks to the high quality of art, the engaging personalities of the artists and the festive atmosphere. The festival is one of five that benefit the programs and mission of the Naples Art Association, and last year Naples Art added a gala at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club (which is located at 896 River Point Drive, Naples, FL 34102) to the weekend event.
On Marco Island, the Art League of Marco Island Fine Craft Fair also takes place on February 22 & 23, 2014. This fair is held at 1010 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island, Florida 34145, which is across from the new Esplanade Shoppes, Residences and Marina right in the center of town. Now in its 15th year, this craft fair provides browsers and art enthusiasts with some of the region’s best original artwork, including paintings, watercolors, photography and digital art, ceramics, pottery, glass, clothing, children’s clothing, jewelry and mixed media work.
The remaining schedule of art fairs and festivals taking place in Southwest Florida through the end of April is posted on Art Southwest Florida.
