Perfect weather, beautiful sunshine, and desire to do something fun in Phoenix. But what do you do? The movies have been done and the park is becoming boring. You want to do something…different. Well, Glendale has the perfect event for you!
February 3-5: Cerreta Candy Factory will be sponsoring the Glendale Chocolate Affaire. Chocolate distributors from Arizona and throughout the nation will be present at this award-winning festival, which will feature chocolate, and embrace romance and art as well. From chocolate-covered strawberries to chocolate-covered bacon, guests are sure to enjoy a smorgasbord of chocolate confections.
Families can look forward to arts and crafts, face painting, and a rock climbing wall. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available throughout the weekend to take couples or families on a scenic, charming ride through the historic Catlin Court district.
The festival will be held in Historic downtown Glendale. The schedule is:
· Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, 5 - 10 p.m.
· Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
· Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, Noon - 5 p.m.

February 3: WEAR RED!: In honor of heart disease, everyone is encouraged to wear RED on February 3, National Heart Day. The American Heart Association says that heart disease kills more women that all cancers combined! It is America’s number 1 killer and takes the lives of 2,200 Americans every single day. Phoenix Heart Walk has raised over $300k and has a goal of $900k by February 25, 2012. Supporters can wear RED, get more information, and make a donation to help reduce the lives stolen by this horrible disease by visiting Phoenix Heart Walk.
So wear your RED to downtown Glendale and eat some delicious chocolate while supporting a great cause. Enjoy your Phoenix this weekend.
