7 Stages Theatre will open their world premier production of Angry Fags, February 21 at 8pm. The play, written by local playwright Topher Nixon-Payne, is described as "a comedy with a body count". Cooper and Bennett are not a gay couple- just a couple of gays. When one of their friends is the victim of an assault outside a local bar, they feel helpless, frightened, and then they feel something new: pure, unfiltered rage. Angry Fags asks the question “Is anyone really afraid of gay guys?” This dark comedy explores the ideas of gay terrorism and the hypocrisy of American politics. Due to content and language Angry Fags is recommended for an adult audience. Angry Fags will play at 7 Stages in Atlanta through March 17. Tickets are $15-$20 plus taxes and fees, and may be purchased by calling 404-523-7647 or by visiting the 7 Stages website.
