Honor veterans by attending the City of Chicago’s Memorial Day Parade. Held on May 24, the event begins at 11 a.m. with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at Daley Plaza (Dearborn and Washington Streets, Chicago). The parade starts at noon at State and Lake Streets, then proceeds to Van Buren Street. The event is considered one of the largest parades in the country.
If you’re in the western suburbs, then consider adding St. Charles’ Memorial Day Activities to your schedule. The events on May 26 start with a flag-raising ceremony at 6 a.m. and include a parade and cemetery ceremonies. The events will be held throughout St. Charles.
