This weekend, Melissa McCarthy steals Jason Bateman's identity in new comedy

This weekend, the very funny Melissa McCarthy teams up with Jason Bateman for the comedy “Identity Thief”, while Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, and Jude Law head the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s new thriller “Side Effects”. Read about those and this Friday’s other new theatrical releases below.

Identity Thief”: This comedy directed by Seth Gordon stars Jason Bateman as businessman Sandy Patterson. When his identity has been compromised, Sandy goes to Miami to track down the woman who stole it. But it turns out that this woman, whose real name is Diana (Melissa McCarthy) is a lot harder to deal with than expected. Runtime: 112 minutes. Rated R for sexual content and language.

Side Effects”: Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this thriller follows Emily (Rooney Mara) and Martin (Channing Tatum), a New York couple whose lives are going just fine until a psychiatrist (Jude Law) gives Emily a prescription for a new drug created to treat anxiety that has some unexpected and extreme side effects. Runtime: 106 minutes. Rated R for sexuality, nudity, violence and language.
