This weekend, long-awaited sequel to '300' finally hits theaters

This Friday, fans of Zack Snyder’s hit film “300” will be pleased to see its sequel finally hit theaters, while lovers of classic cartoons will enjoy Dreamworks Animation’s reboot of “Mr. Peabody & Sherman”. Nationwide Releases:

Mr. Peabody & Sherman”: This animated comedy directed by Rob Minkoff and based on the classic cartoon series follows dog genius Mr. Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell) and his adopted human boy Sherman (Max Charles). When, against Mr. Peabody’s wishes, Sherman and his friend Penny (Ariel Winter) use Peabody’s time travel machine called the WABAC and change the course of history, they must all travel back in time, meeting some of history’s greatest characters, to set things back to normal before time runs out. Available for viewing in 3D. Runtime: 92 minutes. Rated PG for some mild action and brief rude humor.

300: Rise of an Empire”: This action film directed by Noam Murro depicts the events taking place after the film “300”, when Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) leads his Persian army toward Athens after defeating Leonidas’ army of 300. Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton), admiral of the Athenian fleet, forges a reluctant alliance with Sparta to fend off Xerxes and his massive army. Available for viewing in 3D. Runtime: 102 minutes. Rated R for strong sustained sequences of stylized bloody violence throughout, a sex scene, nudity, and some language.
