This weekend’s new theatrical releases are great for anyone looking for a laugh, from kids and families to adults. Read about this week’s new releases below, including “Neighbors” and “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return”.

Nationwide Releases:

Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return”: This animated family film is set after the events of “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy (voiced by Lea Michele) is sent back to Kansas, only to be brought back to Oz when a new villain known as the Jester appears. Along with the Scarecrow (Dan Aykroyd), Tin Man (Kelsey Grammer), Lion (Jim Belushi), and some new friends, Dorothy must help stop the Jester and restore order to the Emerald City. Runtime: 88 minutes. Rated PG for some scary images and mild peril.

Neighbors”: This comedy directed by Nicolas Stoller stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as Mac and Kelly Radner, a couple with a newborn baby. Life gets difficult for them when an obnoxious fraternity led by Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) moves in next door, disrupting the Radners’ life and starting an all-out war between them. Runtime: 96 minutes. Rated R for pervasive language, strong crude and sexual content, graphic nudity and drug use throughout.

Mom’s Night Out”: This comedy directed by Andrew and Jon Erwin follows a group of mothers who just want to have a fun night out on the town—so they leave their children in the care of their husbands for a few hours, not anticipating all that could go wrong. The cast includes Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, Trace Atkins, and Patricia Heaton. Runtime: 98 minutes. Rated PG for mild thematic elements and some action.
