This weekend: Knife Party, Kink Patrol, and The Rocky Horror Fetish Show (Photos)

In addition to Halfway to Dragon*Con: Infestation 2 this Saturday, there are several other great events happening this weekend that could not go unmentioned.

This Friday, March 22, Australian act Knife Party plays live at Tabernacle. A side project from the two founding members of Pendulum, Knife Party is an aggressive electro-house/dubstep group that has been steadily gaining popularity in the U.S. Presented by Liquified, the show also features supporting acts Sorted and Halogen (Dunsker & Para11).

Tickets for Knife Party can be purchased online at Livenation.com. The show is ages 16 and up. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Tabernacle is located at 152 Luckie Street NW 30303. Also on Friday is another exciting edition of Kink Patrol at The Shelter. It's been almost one year since the return of Kink Patrol, and that is reason to celebrate! There is plenty to be excited about including: a Shibari performance with ThaGoodson and Betty Blue, photography and art by ThaGoodson and Tsubasa, and Go-Go girl cops Foxy Roulette and Yuki Onna Lee. DJs Jennocide and Ghost will spin dance music while Master Chuck doles out the birthday spankings.

Kink Patrol will take place on Friday, March 22. Cover is $8 for 21 and up. Doors open at 9 p.m. and close at 3 a.m. The Shelter is located at 2101 Tula St. NW, 30309, and there is plenty of free parking. Last but certainly not least, on Saturday, March 23, Mon Cherie and Incognito present The Rocky Horror Fetish Show at Masquerade. While there might not be any shadowcasting, there will be plenty of live fetish performances from Frankenfurter, Magenta, Riff Raff, Columbia, Eddie, and more. And if that doesn't build up the antici----pation, then how about a costume contest and a raffle with prizes from Sacred Heart Tattoo, Terminus City Trade, Masquerade concert tickets, and more? DJs 313 and Rev. Andy will spin alternative dance music all night, and you can expect to hear "Time Warp" at least once.

Masquerade is located at 695 North Ave NE 30308. Cover is $12 at the door or $10 for online advance tickets (includes a free raffle ticket). Masquerade is 18 and up. Doors open at 10 p.m. and close at 3 a.m. For more information, visit Mon Cherie Presents and Masquerade online. Check out the event page on Facebook and read about past Mon Cherie events.
