This weekend, 'Hansel and Gretel' get a gory update, plus 'Parker', 'Movie 43'

Find lots of action at the movies this weekend with an updated version of “Hansel and Gretel” and Jason Statham in “Parker”. Plus, tons of celebrities come together in “Movie 43”. What will you be checking out?

Nationwide Releases:

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters”: Directed by Tommy Wirkola, this action fantasy updates the classic fairy tale, with an adult Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) acting as bounty hunters who track and kill witches. But a now a new evil threatens the siblings and may even reveal a secret about their past. Runtime: 88 minutes. Rated R for strong fantasy horror violence and gore, brief sexuality/nudity and language.

Parker”: This thriller directed by Taylor Hackford stars Jason Statham as Parker, a thief who is betrayed and left for dead by his crew. Out for vengeance, Parker teams up with a woman (Jennifer Lopez) who is close to them to take over their next heist. Runtime: 118 minutes. Rated R for strong violence, language throughout and brief sexual content/nudity.

Movie 43”: This comedy, through a series of short films, follows three kids as they search the internet for the most banned movie in the world. The huge cast includes Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Emma Stone, Dennis Quaid, Seth MacFarlane, Richard Gere, Jason Sudeikis, and many more, with directors of the various segments including the Farrelly Brothers, Brett Ratner, and Elizabeth Banks. Runtime: 90 minutes. Rated R for strong pervasive crude and sexual content including dialogue, graphic nudity, language, some violence and drug use.
