This weekend: Firepower Reloaded Tour featuring Datsik live at QUAD

With over 20,000 invitees on Facebook and a killer lineup, the Firepower Reloaded Tour at QUAD is destined to be epic. Explosive Canadian DJ/Producer Datsik will headline the event to take place this Friday, January 25 at QUAD.

Datsik is joined on tour by Barron and Rekoil. Local support will be provided by Murraw, SyL-o, Ninja Flash, and local legend Mantis. This is an event that will have dubstep fiends raving and dancing nonstop until morning.

Datsik was inspired to produce dubstep music after hearing Excision perform at a music festival in 2008. The next year, he released his first track just a few months shy of his 21st birthday. And now, just over three years later, he has become one of the major players in the dubstep scene today, collaborating with Excision, Downlink, and Flux Pavilion to name a few.

"I think dubstep has become so huge because it’s a complete bastardization of electronic music," Datsik explains on Firepower Records site. "There’s a little bit of everything thrown in the mix and dirtied up. There are pieces of hip-hop, the bass from electronic dance tracks and the roots of U.K. garage and drum & bass…Dubstep is totally the punk rock of electronic music."

Presale tickets for this show have already sold out, but tickets will also be available at the door: $25 for general admission, $30 for priority entrance to skip the lines and standing out in the cold. 18 and up admitted.

The Firepower Reloaded Tour will take place at QUAD on Friday, January 25. QUAD is located at 714 Spring St. NW 30308. Doors open at 10 p.m. and close at 5 a.m. For more information, check out the Facebook event page, visit QUAD on Facebook and their website, and read about past events at QUAD.
