It's time to take a look at what's happening in the blues around town this weekend. Here we go:

Friday, James Armstrong is at Blind Willie's and The Mar-Tans are at Darwin's in Marietta.. Rumblefish is at Fat Matt's and Zydefunk is at Northside Tavern. Glenn Phillips comes to Steve's Live Music with Hannah Zale opening and Chicago Joe has a student jam at Tin Roof Cantina.

Saturday, a short road trip will take you to Blind Willie McTell Festival in Thompson with Jaimoe’s Jazzz Band, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Campbell Brothers (sacred steel), Col. Bruce Hampton and the Madrid Express, Tony Furtado, Sugar Ray and the Blue Tones w/ Monster Mike Welch.

Also Saturday, Sandra Hall is at Blind Willie's and Charlie Wooton is at Darwin's. Dr. Dixon is at Fat Matt's while Valerie Hines is at Matilda's Under the Pines in Alpharetta. Brandon Reeves is at Mellow Mushroom in Kennesaw. Ike Stubblefield is at Northside Tavern.

Sunday, take your Mom out for some blues! Tony Bryant is at Fat Matt's and Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern. Little G Weevil is at Nik's Place in Marietta. Happy Mother's Day, moms!
