It's time to find the blues in and around Atlanta for this weekend!
Quickly, let's take a moment to wish the best to Tommy Brown, who is undergoing surgery today, May 29th, and to Walter Trout, who thankfully received his new liver earlier this week and was doing fine the last I heard.
Now, here's where the blues are this weekend:
Friday, Delta Moon is at Blind Willie's. Heaven Davis and The Reluctant Saints are at Darwin's in Marietta and The Radio Ramblers are at Fat Matt's. The Breeze Kings are at Arena Tavern in Duluth. Geoff Achison and the Soul Diggers are at Eddie's Attic and The Rockaholics are at MoonShadow Tavern. Jack's river is at Nik's Place in Marietta and Mudcat is at Northside Tavern. Rod Hamdallah is at the The Star Bar and Diane Durrett, Hannah Thomas and Steff Mahan are the Singer Society at Steve's Live Music in Sandy Springs. Chicago Joe has a student jam at Tin Roof Cantina. Lefty Williams Band is at 120 Tavern as part of the a benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Saturday, Darwin's hosts the Harmonica Blowout featuring Billy Gibson, Donny Ray Simmond, Maurice Nazzaro, Stoney Brooks, Jeff Baker, and Little Joe Hoegger. The Cazanovas will be backing everyone and there will be a special jam with Dry White Toast at 7:30 before the show starts at 8.
Also Saturday, Geoff Achison & The Soul Diggers will be at The Art Place in Marietta. Sandra Hall is at Blind WIllie's and The Georgia Flood is at Bone Lick BBQ.
