It's time to take a look at what's happening in the blues in and around Atlanta this weekend. Here we go:

Friday, rising star Jarekus Singleton appears at Blind Willie's. Dirty South TV hosts the new Electric Lunch Hour with the Cazanovas at Darwin's in Marietta and Ralph Roddenbery appears at Darwin's in the evening. The Tone Prophets are at Fat Matt's and Reverend Hylton and the Devil's Hands are at Nik's Place in Marietta. Stoney Brooks is at Northside Tavern and Gibson Wilbanks and the Get Right Band are at Red Light Cafe'. Brandon Reeves is at Twisted Taco in John's Creek and Chicago Joe has a student jam at Tin Roof Cantina.

Saturday, Sandra hall is at Blind Willie's and The Cazanovas are at Darwin's for the first of Heidi Paquet's birthday parties (she has another at Darwin's next weekend.) The Rockaholics are at Confettis Bar and Grill in Norcross and The Gold Standard Band is at Craze Tavern in Duluth. The Stooge Brothers are at Fat Matt's and Donna Hopkins and Gibson Wilbanks are at Matilda's Under the Pines in Alpharetta. The Breeze Kings are at Northside Tavern and Truett Lollis is at Steve's Live Music in Sandy Springs.

Sunday, Snake Legs is at Fat Matt's and Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern. Locals has the Sunday Night Jam and the Atlanta Blues Society has its monthly meeting at The Oyster Barn in Lilburn with hosts The Gold Standard Band and of course, the members' jam.
