This weekend: Find the blues in and around Atlanta, January 25-27, 2013

Well, the weather is unpredictable, but the blues are always dependable. Here's where to go to hear great live blues around Atlanta this weekend.

Friday, there is a very special event occurring at Epworth Methodist Chruch, 1561 McLendon Rd NE in Atlanta, across from Candler Park. The concert will feature Franciine Reed, Lola Gulley, Sandra Hall and Bernadette Seacrest with The Shadows. Tickets are $25 and the proceeds will go toward a handicapped ramp.

Also Friday, Sandra Hall will be at Blind WIllie's.and Andrew and the Disapyramids are at Darwin's.in Marietta. Johnny Scales is at Fat Matt's, Brandon Reeves is at Smith's Olde Bar. Also, David "Snave" Evans will be sitting in with Mudcat at Northside Tavern.

Saturday, Francine Reed and The Shadows are at Blind Willi'es and Ms.Beverly "Guitar" Watkins is at Darwin's with The Meter Tones. The Tone Prophets are at Fat Matt's and The Mike Lowery Band is at Nik's Place in Marietta. Frankie's Blues Mission entertain at Johnnie McCracken's in Marietta.

Sunday, Francine Reed is at The Family Dog and Fat Back Deluxe is at Fat Matt's. Uncle Sugar performs at Blind Willie's.
