It's February and this is the month we think of love. One way we can show love is to go out and support the great live music in our area. The fantastic blues bands and venues deserve it!

Here is where to find the great blues events this weekend:

The Barry Richman Band is at Nik's Place in Marietta and Lola is at Northside Tavern. Dry White Toast is at Two Urban Licks. Just a short road trip away, JJ Grey & Mofro are appearing at The Georgia Theatre in Athans.Chicago Joe has a student jam at Tin Roof Cantina.

The Funky Kings are at Nik's Place and Randy Chapman & Friends are at Northside Tavern. Dry White Toast is at Two Urban Licks. Count M'Butu and The Mar-Tans are at The Family Dog.

Sunday, a very special event takes place at Cox Capital Theatre in Macon. It's the Stoopdown Jam 2014 and it is a tribute to Chick Willis with Harvey Scales, Willie Hill, Sammy Blue, Mudcat & Lil’ Joe w/ Atlanta Horns, The Breeze Kings, Crossroads Band, Frankie Lee’s Blues Mission, Rita Graham, Princess Riley, Dr. Dixon, Randy Skinner, SaNa Blue, Larry Griffith, Brother Dave, Barry Darnell, Joe Blue, Robert Lee Coleman & more. This is going to be a phenomenal show in tribute to a great Atlanta bluesman!
