The summer is getting closer to the end and fall is in sight, but the blues scene around Atlanta stays both hot and cool at the same time always!
Here's where to find the great live blues this weekend:
Friday, Delta Moon comes to Blind Willie's. Fallacy visits Darwin's in Marietta and Set It Off is at Fat Matt's. The Breeze Kings are at North River Tavern in Sandy Springs and Mudcat is at Northside Tavern. The Rebirth Brass Band visits Smith's Olde Bar and John Hyatt and The Combo with special guest Native Run come to Variety Playhouse. J.T. Speed is at Two Urban Licks and the Jon Liebman and Aaron Trubic Duo perform a regularly scheduled show at Vin 25 in Roswell.
Friday's festival is the Pigs and Peaches Festival in Kennesaw with The Lefty Williams Band. Admission is free for this festival.
Saturday, Heather Lutrell is at Darwin's in Marietta and The Electromatics are at Blind Willie's. Stephen"Blues Dude" Duncan will be at Fat Matt's at noon and at Hottie Hawgs BBQ later on. The Hollidays will be at Fat Matt's later on Saturday. Marty Manous is at Nik's Place in Marietta and Mudcat is at Northside Tavern. The Rebirth Brass Band continues at Smith;s Olde Bar while Jon Liebman and Aaron Trubic do a second night at Vin 25 and J.T. Speed continues at Two Urban Licks. The Jagged Stones appear at Dixie Tavern in Marietta and Vintage Boogie has an End of Summer party at Paddy's Irish Pub in Kennesaw.
The big event Saturday is the Conyers Blues and Music Revue at Old Downtowne Conyers, featuring Theodis Ealey unplugged, Pete Peterson, Lady D, Tommy Brown, Sandra Hall, Nutbush, Shirley Diamond, Sana Blue, Bill Avery from Alabama, OSRR Band,Let It Rip Band, Reggae Artist Miguel Paul, Peace an Thunder, and Randolph Walker.
Sunday, Seminole Jackson and New Dixie Blues do their regularly scheduled show at The Comeback Bar in Tucker and Tony Bryant appears at Fat Matt's. Uncle Sugar is at Northside Tavern as they are every Sunday and Bob Page hosts brunch at Two Urban Licks as always.
