A new color scheme of green and white will brighten up A Safe Haven's Auto Show "Drive for the Homeless" this year. In celebration of a new look, and to help stock the shelter's food pantry, patrons who bring three canned goods or non-perishable food items to donate will gain admission to the Chicago Auto Show for just $7, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17.
Volunteers at the booth will offer free wristbands and participation in a raffle for donors. T-shirts with the new logo will be for sale.
“Our new identity reflects A Safe Haven’s growth and success in helping people experiencing homelessness aspire, transform, and sustain real change. A Safe Haven is committed to providing holistic services that ‘break the cycle,’” noted Neli Vazquez-Rowland, A Safe Haven Foundation president.
The new logo was created thanks to the volunteerism of graphic artist Hilary Ford.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a vital organization, and look forward to seeing A Safe Haven continue to grow and succeed with the help of their new logo," said Ford.
Here is A Safe Haven's invitation:
