Rescue Village
The forecast at Rescue Village this weekend calls for Mild Meows through January 31. Take part in the Blizzard of Adoptions, the storm that will warm your hearts, and find your lifetime friend for discounted prices. Many pets are available, but check out the slide show to see three featured cats from the Lonely Hearts Club - pets who have been at Rescue Village longer than most.
Pricing through January 31: Kittens aged 8 weeks through 4 months - $50; Cats 4 months and up - $10; Spotlight Dogs - $50.
Only a few tickets remain for Rescue Village's An Evening by the Falls. The event is February 19 at Jekyll's Kitchen in Chagrin Falls and will feature food, drinks, music and fun. Do not miss out on the Fly Me To The Moon raffle, a chance to win one of three trips. You do not need to attend the event to enter the raffle. Cleveland Animal Protective League
Levin Furniture has partnered with the APL in a social media contest for you and your pet. Levin is looking for one lucky pet to be featured in their print ads in Ohio, and you only have until January 28 to submit your photo! Simply go to Facebook and "like" Levin's page to add your entry, and for every entry, Levin will donate $5 to the APL, up to $2,000.
On Saturday, January 28, there are three adoption events sponsored by the APL. At the Sears Outlet in North Olmsted there will be adoptable animals and information on donating, adopting and volunteering. At the Pet Supplies Plus stores in Fairview and Middleburg there will be dog adoptions from 11a.m.-2p.m.
