Out of the Furnace”: This thriller directed by Scott Cooper follows Russell and Rodney Baze (Christian Bale and Casey Affleck), brothers who live in an economically depressed area and dream of something better. When Rodney is lured into a crime ring and disappears, law enforcement fails to commit to finding him, resulting in Russell having to make a difficult choice: enjoy his freedom, having been recently released from jail, or risk everything to find Rodney himself. Runtime: 116 minutes. Rated R for strong violence, language and drug content.
