The only problem is the guy poses as a woman called Susan writing under the column heading “Ask Aunt Susan”. A purely unassuming name. A title that draws on the emotions of women to get them to open up and spill their emotional guts. The owners of the website are making money hand over fist and love the responses. 1st Annual Chicago Gospel Music Awards - June 13, 2014, 7 p.m.
The anointed in faith and humor Pastor John Hannah hosts the 1st Annual Chicago Gospel Music Awards with the fabulous Angela Martin of Clear Channel’s “Angela and You for Two”. This event celebrates the contributions of Chicago area singers, performers and musicians to the gospel genre of music. There will also be three awards given to the legends of gospel music. The Chinese Circus of Beijing - June 14, 2014
The Chinese Circus of Beijing performs Saturday June 14, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Ravinia Pavilion, 200 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, Illinois 60035. Tickets range $5-$15 with a Goldstar account sign-up.
This troupe of performers begin training as early as five years of age to perfect their skills in acrobatics. The acrobatics techniques are more than 2000 years old. The troupe itself has been showcasing their skills and talents publicly for about 50 years. A beautiful group of hand picked acrobatic women performing juggling, cycling and balancing acts this Saturday at the Ravinia, 11 am.
Jokes and Notes Father’s Day Weekend June 13-June 15, 2014
Father’s Day weekend is bringing in the laughter at Jokes and Notes with Comedy by D. Lai, from Bill Bellamy’s “Lady’s Night Out” and the 2014 season of Comic View on BET, hosted by WGCI’s Tony Sculfield. D. Lai is doing five shows two Friday, two Saturday and one Sunday. Tickets are $20 per person and available at the box office.
