Look for bright red, pink and yellow sculptures and butterflies, gorgeous landscapes and sparkling jewelry on the lawn and walkways between the education/display building and the scenic lake that has a high-spouting fountain. There you will find 85 artists specifically chosen to complement the Botanic Garden's themes.

The art fair starts at 10 a.m. but the Botanic Garden’s café and walkways open at 7 a.m. So combine the art fair with a visit to its rose, Japanese, English and more than 20 other specialty gardens and natural areas. They draw about one million visitors each year.

The Chicago Botanic Garden is at 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022, just east of Edens Expressway. For more information call 847-835-5440 and visit Chicago Botanic Garden.
