Frederick Law Olmstead Gala – Friday, September 5th at 6 p.m. at the Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park. This year’s theme is “Emerald City,” and will feature the music of Lance Diamond along with cocktails, dinner and a live auction. This event honors Robert Shibley and Lynda Schneekloth for their stewardship of the Olmstead landscape in Buffalo. Tickets are $175 and are available at www.bfloparks.org.

Septemberfest – Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th at Merritt Estate Winery, 2264 King Rd. in Forestville. Sample food, wine and beer from the area while checking out the classic car show, live music, vendors and more. Get more information at www.merrittestatewinery.com.

echo Art Fair – Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th at the Downtown Central Library. The fair will showcase many different types of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, print, works on paper, video and mixed media.
