BBQ and Blues Bash – Friday, June 20th from 5 to 9 p.m. on Mississippi St. in downtown Buffalo (near First Niagara Center). Star Lights – Saturday, June 21st from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Buffalo Museum of Science, 1020 Humboldt Pkwy. in Buffalo. The Museum’s annual fundraiser focuses on astronomy-related activities in addition to food and wine samplings; this year, visitors will also have the opportunity to check out the Mummies of the World exhibit. German Sommerfest – Saturday, June 21st from noon to 6 p.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Rd. in Amherst. Celebrate with German food and beverages, music, dancing, a VW Bug Car Show and more. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children. Find out more at
