This Friday’s new releases include an action-packed film starring Sylvester Stallone, and what could be the next “Twilight”: a romance involving a human girl and a zombie. Plus, more Oscar-nominated films are coming to a theater near you. What will you be seeing?
Nationwide Releases:
“Warm Bodies”: This romantic comedy written and directed by Jonathan Levine is set in a world overrun by zombies. When a zombie named R (Nicolas Hoult) who still has some of his human senses about him comes across a human girl named Julie (Teresa Palmer) he is smitten. After saving her from a zombie attack, the two form a relationship that could end up saving the world. Runtime: 97 minutes. Rated PG-13 for zombie violence and some language.
“Bullet to the Head”: This action film directed by Walter Hill stars Sylvester Stallone as James Bonomo, a hitman who joins up with a detective after both of their partners are killed by the same enemy. Runtime: 91 minutes. Rated R for strong violence, bloody images, language, nudity and brief drug use.
