This week's release schedule may be the quiet before the storm as several games release with little fanfare at the local Gamestop in the Del Monte Shopping Center.

Though many of the games coming out today are niche-type games, Army of Two: The 40th Day for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PSP may be the most anticipated. A third-person shooter, AoT is meant to be played as a two-player co-op. Players take on the role of one of two mercenaries who become entangled in a conspiracy plot. Solo gamers without a partner need not fear, a PAI (partner artificial intelligence) system allows the computer to control the other playable character. Whether the PAI allows for constructive criticism is highly doubtful.

The next two weeks may stretch more than a few wallets with Mass Effect 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and MAG hitting stores.
