This week's new releases

Tortoise's Beacons of Ancestorship

Ginuwine- A Man's Thoughts
For $7.99 aren't you at least a bit curious? The man who once proclaimed "ride it my pony, my saddles are waiting, come and jump on it" is back with his first album in four years. As you can see by the cover, Ginuwine is making the transition from lover man to adult contemporary contender. Convincing? You be the judge.
Available on CD, DD and Deluxe Edition (Out July 7th)

Tortoise- Beacons of Ancestorship
Chicago art-indie-Jazz-prog ensemble continues to expand their palette on this new release that's already garnering buzz praising the band's return to form. 2006's collaboration with Bonnie "Prince" Billy was one of the more head-scratching indie releases in recent years. Now Tortoise adds splashes of electronica, soul and Morriconesque sounds to their hypnotic patterns. This one's worth picking up for the geometric album art alone.
Available on CD, DD and Vinyl
