This week's jams (Photos)

Each week I find myself putting a few songs on repeat. Sometimes they're new, sometimes they're not, but either way, they rock. Check these out this week.

"Suit & Tie" - Justin Timberlake ft. Jay Z
You've definitely heard about this song, but have you actually heard it? It's a decent comeback effort from my future ex-hubby Justin Timberlake, and a mediocre effort from the rap Gods, this time in the form of Jay Z. I do love the old-school feel and it's a relaxed, groovy melody. When they slow down the track for Jay's verse, it's sublime. The video is dope too. It's subtle, low-budget chic, and understatedly sexy.

"I Don't Deserve You" - Lloyd Banks ft. Jeremih
This is a solid R&B/Hip-hop track, and a nice change from the commotion of the latest "Stuntin & Slangin" in it's genre. It's smooth - grown up, even - without losing it's edge. The video is exactly what you'd expect from this song, so... meh.

"Thrift Shop" - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
This is a song about Goodwill. Hilarious. Really, it's funny and poses some interesting social questions about how much we spend on brands and why. If you're not careful you may mistakenly drift into some deep, dark philosophical places and question your whole existence while listening to this clown of a song. Macklemore could use a little more practice and develop his one liners a little more, but for a new-comer, he's alright. The video has some interesting visuals, and of course, some daring wardrobe choices. I'm feeling the vintage photography to the whole thing.

Enjoy these and check back next week for more suggestions!
