This week in North Metro Arts education February 6-12

Last week saw arts education events from drama, to music, to dance. This week promises to be just as action packed. Here are a few things happening in our school arts programs this week.

Milton High School Choral department will present their Pre-LGPE concert February 6 at 7:30pm. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the MHS auditorium in Milton.

The Lanier Middle School orchestra program will present a pre-LGPE concert on February 2. The concert will feature the 7th grade orchestra at 5:15pm, followed by the 8th grade orchestra at 6:15pm. Both concerts will be held in the LMS cafeteria in Sugar Hill, and are free and open to the public.

The Osborne Middle School 7th and 8th grade orchestras will present a pre-LGPE concert on February 7 at 6:00pm. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the OMS cafeteria in Hoschton.

Johns Creek High School orchestras will present a pre-festival concert February 8 at 5:00pm. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the JCHS auditorium in Johns Creek.

The Alpharetta High School band program will present their Pre-LGPE concert on February 9 at 6:30pm. The concert will feature Symphonic Bands 1 and 2, as well as the Wind Ensemble. The concert will be held in the Alpharetta High School auditorium in Alpharetta and is free and open to the public. 

The Milton High School band will present their Pre-LGPE concert February 9 at 7:30pm. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the MHS auditorium in Milton.

There will be a GMEA district honor band concert on February 11 at 7pm. The concert, which features students from many local high schools, will be held in the Chattahoochee High School auditorium in Johns Creek. The concert is free and open to the public.
