This coming Sunday, January 27th, 2013 at 4PM, The Miami Symphony Orchestra, MISO and the Bass Museum of Art will present a free concert on the lawn in Collins Park, Miami Beach.
Bring a blanket, picnic and the whole family and enjoy a free al fresco performance of “Ocean Drive in Vienna” by MISO conducted by Eduardo Marturet.
MISO was founded by Manuel Ochoa in 1989 and since 2006, the baton has been in the hands of Eduardo Marturet, a Venezuelan composer and conductor acclaimed on three continents.
Maestro Marturet envisions MISO as a world-class professional symphony anchored in Miami.
Currently, MISO receives grants from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and is designated a Major Cultural Organization. The Orchestra also receives grants from The Miami Beach Cultural Arts Council, the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the arts.
