In the tradition of settlement houses, the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC) responds to the needs of two diverse neighborhoods to foster safer, healthier, and more empowered lives. The CRC helped more than 4,300 people last year with food, clothing, household items, health care, child care, youth and elderly support, and other vital services.
On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, the Columbus Foundation's Big Give initiative will boost donations to the CRC and other local nonprofits with $1 million in matching funds from the foundation and its supporters.
To let the Big Give make the most of your gift to the CRC, make an online donation by clicking here any time between 11 a.m. September 17 and 10:59 a.m. September 18.
As an added incentive, several central Ohio businesses have stepped up to sweeten the process, including Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. Click on the video link above to see Jeni's offer.
The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus supports of the CRC, both as a congregation and through donations and volunteer work by individual members.
