This week at the RI General Assembly: May 20,-May 22, 2014

Tomorrow begins the new legislative week at the Rhode Island General Assembly. The legislators meet this week beginning at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow and ending on Thursday.

The legislative committees are scheduled to meet at the same time as General Assembly meets. This week the legislative committee calendar is short. There are a total of 12 meetings at the State House, three House committees and nine Senate committee meetings.

In addition to the legislative committee business being handled at the State House this week, there is also a full floor calendar at the Rhode Island General Assembly. On the House agenda for Tuesday, there are 11 pieces of legislation up for the body’s consideration and on Wednesday, there are 10. On the agenda for the Senate, there are 36 items scheduled for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
