Tuesday begins the new legislative week at the Rhode Island State House. This week, the General Assembly meets from Tuesday, April 29, 2014 to Thursday, May 01, 2014.

As always both chambers are scheduled to open up for business at the Rise. The Rise occurs at 4:00 p.m. EST.

This week, the Legislative Committee calendar is full. There are 15 meetings scheduled. Eight are House committees and seven are Senate committees.

Floor Calendar

There is also business scheduled for the floors of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. In the next two days, the House of Representatives will take up nine bills that the House committees have recommended for passage. The Senate will deal with 10 bills in two days.
