Highlights abound at Northside Tavern this week.
The front room hosts Moonshine Drive's authentic country/bluegrass sound.
Friday features Daughters and Sons and their horn-heavy funk as part of the Save Our Strays benefit. Buckra and Nathan Holscher. Daughters and Sons will play the Mad Frog on Saturday night with the Macpodz.
Monday brings a visit from Knoxville's Royal Bangs. The avant-garde rockers are more than worthy of an early week excursion. Metro UK compares their sound to MGMT and Animal Collective.
Jazz fans can catch Wade Davis on Wednesday in addition to the Northside Jazz Ensemble's usual bi-monthly Monday night get together.
