February 11 - 17, 2013 is the first week of the Chinese New Year. The year of the water snake is going to have us busy. Shedding our skin takes persistence, patience and time. Our successful transformation depends on these qualities. This is the perfect week to get clear about who you really are and what you really want. Prepare for a year of steady movement, not always in a forward direction. Slithering out of the past takes time, it is a process we are all deeply involved with in the year of the water snake.
Monday we are very much riding the wind of Saturdays New Moon in Aquarius while we enter the year of the water snake. This gives us some brilliant insight into how we can change our lives for the better. You are likely rather certain of what needs metamorphosis in your life. This windy energy is helpful at detaching from entanglements as well. Which can be very supportive to changing. Sometimes it is simply that which we are attached too that holds us back in life. You can see clearly now- in an unsentimental way. Liberate your resources and pay close attention to detail to be sure the new foundation you are laying is a solid one.
This is the last week of the Aquarius sun. Step fully into who you are. Or what you want to do. You could meet some exciting, forward thinking individuals who dazzle you deeply. Make no commitments and remind yourself that things are not always what they seem. Though rebel energy is in the air it can also cause spontaneous stupidity. Throw caution to the wind behavior is great when you are a teenager, but if you are a grown-up: You probably know it's better not to throw anything into the wind, especially caution. Plan your brilliant exit strategies carefully, while you are fully enjoying the moment.
Things can be tricky this year. Slippery and hard to get hold of. Yet, progress is being made in very deep ways. Keep the truth integral, yet be willing to offer a bending of the truth when dealing with bureaucracy and institutions. Snakes are sneaky, use this trait for your greater good. Emotional deceit will always haunt you, but a forged vaccination certificate could save a life. Use your discretion, sometimes a lie is called for.
Valentines day arrives this week, astrologically it is a spacious day with an easy, possibly beneficial energy. It's nice to acknowledge our loved ones. Be creative in the ways you let your partner know you care. It does not have to include spending money. Time in conversation will be most enjoyable this Valentines day. Feed your senses well to fully enjoy the fiery earthy energy of the day. The moon moves from energetic Aries in the early evening PST. You might hit a wall of exhaustion and want nothing more than a hot bath and a good book by 8 pm. Treasure the little things.
Friday Mars and Pluto set up a pretty deep weekend. Deep and possibly dramatic, but good drama. Maybe you find out you got a job you only dreamed of, but it will require you to live abroad. Scary to leave everyone, dramatic deep life changes.
