August 19-25 starts off under the influence of the blue moon. This happens when the full Moon occurs in the same sign twice in one month. This happens around every 33 months-which is rather rare, and also where the term, once in a blue moon, has its origins. This Full moon in Aquarius sets us straight. On track can happen naturally. Clarify who you are in the scheme of things. What do you stand for? Then, see how you can offer things up for the good of the whole. That's when things will really start to roll right into place.
The Full Moon in Aquarius will be exact at 6:45 pm PST August twentieth. This means it is opposing the Sun in Leo. This helps us integrate the lessons of each opposing sign. From the Leo Sun we can learn to be ourselves and enjoy who we are. We can learn to play and frolic and indulge ourselves. We learn to be big hearted and encouraging. It's the part of us that says: "Hey, Look what I can do, Look at me." We lose this natural tendency to celebrate ourselves as we are moved through the systems of society. We learn not to brag. It's a shame because we are here to celebrate our unique qualities. We are here to be who we are. Not who we are told to be.
This Full Moon can help you shift more firmly in the direction of being who you really are. You can feel from the heart, speak from the heart, things get easy when you are on track and coming from your authentic heartfelt self. The Aquarian energy reminds you how to bust out of the established ruts you've fallen into. Life is here to be lived. It is grand and amazing-it is magical and full of fantastic futures.
Just hours after the Full Moon, Jupiter, the visionary thinker is in a pivotal aspect to Uranus, ruler of Aquarius. This turning point can really launch you in a new direction, maybe even with your head spinning. Be clear, this is a liberation. No matter how difficult changes seem to be they are necessary and needed. Release your grip on certainty so the magic can happen. Magic happens! It's happening all the time.
On Thursday the Sun enters Virgo. The good times abruptly end. Well the freewheeling good times of a carefree summer. Ask any kid going back to school-poor things. Every year at this time I celebrate how I don't have to go back to school. When I was a kid I was filled with anxiety at this time. I loathed everything about school. So even though I am a mostly full-fledged grown-up I still feel a need to celebrate not being in school. I am ever grateful to be homeschooling my daughter too. I couldn't bear to put her through the torture I felt school to be. So what I am trying to say is: The good times don't have to end in September.
The Virgo energy is wonderful for getting organized, for starting wonderful new regimes that help you move forward on your path. Now would be the time to stop smoking, or dairy, or anything with aspartame, and definitely processed meats with nitrates and anything genetically modified. I have a fair few of my own planets in the sixth house, Virgos home, so I am familiar with all the current revelations in health-It takes discipline to evolve-Virgo can muster that for the greater good of health and longevity.
Mercury moves into Virgo on the twenty third next to the sun. They are sharing space in the sky. This is a powerful time to organize your thoughts. After traveling through Leo last month, you are now more certain of what it is you need to say, or do. Virgo will help you organize this-to put it outside yourself and claim your space. Any sort of writing, or editing, researching or fine tuning will be well supported for the next few weeks. Get to work grasshopper. Fun work though. Keep it joyful-you have these sorts of choices with all that free will of yours.
I Imagine this will be a productive week. A strengthening time for clarifying. Shed that skin. Break free of unnecessary restraints so you can do what you do for the world. Or for those within your world. Write down your progress and perceptions. Document your magical path. Blessings Abound! Be free to commit to you!
