Nickel City Cluster Dog Show – Thursday through Sunday, January 9th through 12th at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Events Center, Expo and Grange Buildings. The Kennel Club of Buffalo and the Kennel Club of Niagara Falls showcase dogs representing nearly all 162 recognized breeds. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily; admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (62+) and $5 for kids 12 and under. For more information, visit

M&T Second Friday – Friday, January 10th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Burchfield-Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College, 1300 Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo. Check out live music with Family Funktion and the Sitar Jams and take part in a drop-in art making workshop – find out more at

Niagara Icewine Festival – Friday, January 10th through Sunday, January 26th at wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Twenty Valley in Ontario, Canada, as well as at venues throughout St. Catherines and at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort. Includes weekends at the wineries as well as other events, including the Xerox Icewine Gala: A Bacchus Evening of Icewine and Revelry (January 10th) and Winterfest in the Square (January 24th and 25th in St. Catherines).
