Cavalcade of Cars – Friday through Sunday, February 28th through March 2nd at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Event Center and Expo Hall. Features rods, customs, motorcycles, traditional hot rods, race-prepared and auto-related exhibitors, plus live music from Terry Buchwald, the Diva Show Band and more. Admission is $12 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for children under 6; hours are Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find out more at www.showcruiseandnews.com.

Good Vibrations Black Tie-Dye Gala – Saturday, March 1st beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo. The 60s-themed benefit for the Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center features cocktails, a seated dinner, silent and live auctions and basket raffles, plus music from the Shama Lama Lounge. Tickets are $175 per person – find out more at www.askbhsc.org.

Shamrock Run – Saturday, March 1st at noon at the Old First Ward Community Center, 62 Republic St. (Gene McCarthy Way) in Buffalo. The 8K race (limited to 5,500 registrants) will be followed by a post-race party at the OFW Center, including refreshments and beer in the beer tent; non-participants can enter for $10. Sundays in the Cemetery – every Sunday through April at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. This Sunday’s lecture is “Genealogical Research Strategies: Where To Begin…and Will It Ever End?” on March 2nd. Cost is $15 per person per event – seating is limited, and reservations are required; visit www.forest-lawn.com or call 716-885-1600 for reservations.

Paczki Day Celebration – Sunday, March 2nd from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hearthstone Manor, 333 Dick Rd. in Depew (this event has been confirmed). Event will feature theme basket raffles, Polish food, live entertainment and more.
