Polar Bites – Thursday, February 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on Franklin St. in downtown Buffalo. The annual fundraiser for the Buffalo Zoo showcases some of the area’s top restaurants, wineries and breweries. Tickets include unlimited samples of local food, wine and beer as well as access to specialty vendors; there will also be raffle, basket and silent auction opportunities and visits from the Zoo’s animal ambassadors. WNY Home and Garden Show – Thursday through Sunday, February 20th through 23rd at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Events Center and Expo Building. Get ideas for upcoming home and garden projects, visit with vendors and companies and visit the Wine and Food Garden. Hours are Thursday and Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; admission is $7 for adults and free for children under 10. Trains Are Running! – Saturday and Sunday, February 22nd and 23rd at the Buffalo History Museum, One Museum Ct. in Buffalo from 1 to 4 p.m. Train display features 1900s replica model trains on more than 200 feet of track, plus a scale-model Erie Canal lock and 100 buildings representing 19th century Buffalo and Western New York. Sundays in the Cemetery – every Sunday through April at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. This Sunday’s lecture is “Artwork on the Forest Lawn Canvas” on February 23rd.
