Power Vista Festival of Trees – now through January 4th, 2014 at the Niagara Power Vista, 5777 Lewiston Rd. in Lewiston. Part of the “Holiday Lights of Niagara Trail,” the Festival of Trees features artificial evergreens and energy-efficient lights, with the trees decorated by local non-for-profit groups. Admission is free, and the Power Vista is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (except Christmas Eve, Christmas, Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day) – find out more at the Power Vista website.
Zooper Saturday – Saturday, January 4th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave. in Buffalo. Learn about the exotic species in the Reptile House and the M&T Bank Rainforest Falls exhibit. The event is free with regular Zoo admission – find out more at www.buffalozoo.org.
Holimont Kids Escaping Drugs SkiScape – Sunday, January 5th at Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville. Event features snowboarding, skiing, firefighter races and live music; a minimum donation of $60 to KED is required to participate and includes an all-day lift ticket, t-shirt and lunch. Fatima Shrine Festival of Lights - now through Monday, January 6th, 2014 from 5 to 9 p.m. nightly at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, 1023 Swann Rd. in Lewiston.
