National Buffalo Wing Festival – Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st at Coca Cola Field in downtown Buffalo. The annual celebration of Buffalo’s gift to the food world will feature live music, eating contests, a kids’ zone and, of course, lots of chicken wings. WNY German-American Heritage Festival – Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st in Cheektowaga Town Park. Events include a European Car Show (Saturday), contests, German entertainment, German food and beverage and more. Clarence Center VFC Labor Day Fair – Saturday through Monday, August 30th through September 1st at Clarence Center Volunteer Fire Company, 9415 Clarence Center Rd. in Clarence Center. Featuring midway rides, demolition derby (Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m.), fireworks (Sunday at 10 p.m.), giant parade (Monday at 1 p.m.), food and beverages, live music in the beer tent and more.
