Party in the Park: A Tribute to Our Troops – Tuesday, August 19th from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Naval and Military Park in downtown Buffalo. Be at the Naval Park for the unveiling of new Wall of Honor names: Ralph Wilson, Bob Kalsu and Russell Salvatore. Also, live music from the Strangers, docent-led museum and ship tours, auctions and raffles, plus an upscale menu and a sundae bar. Tickets are $50 per person and $85 per couple in advance, $65 per person and $100 per couple at the door. Find out more at

Buffalo Irish Festival – Friday through Sunday, August 22nd through 24th at Canalside Buffalo. Celebrate everything Irish with live entertainment, food and beverage, raffles, the Parade of the 32 County Flags of Ireland (Friday at 5:30 p.m.) and more. Entertainment will include Beoga, The Glengarry Bhoys, Emish, Seamus Kennedy, Pat Shea and Penny Whiskey. Hours are Friday 5 to midnight, Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 10 p.m. – find out more at

Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts – Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd and 24th on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo. Featuring more than 170 artists and crafters, live entertainment, Kidsfest, Environmental Row and Cultural Row. Hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – find out more at the festival website.
