Girls Night Out – Thursday, May 1st from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Windows on the Green at Westwood Country Club, 722 N. Forest Rd. in Williamsville. The annual Buffalo Spree-sponsored event is an evening of shopping, cocktails and more featuring some of Buffalo’s best vendors. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door and include admission, food stations and cash bar; find out more at or by calling 716-972-2244.

Wine and Herb Festival – Friday through Sunday, May 2nd through 4th at participating wineries on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. Start your garden this weekend by collecting a potted herb or veggie plant from each winery, as well as a wine glass, garden plan and plant carrier at your first winery. Hours are Friday 1 to 5 p.m. (selected wineries), Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; tickets are $40 per person in advance and $45 at the door, or $60 per couple in advance and $65 at the door, while designated driver tickets are $35 per person and $55 per couple – visit for complete details.

Kentucky Derby Spring Hat Luncheon and Fashion Show – Saturday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. at the buffalo Niagara Heritage Museum, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Rd. in Amherst. Event will feature raffles, basket auctions, fashion show, hat contest and luncheon. Tickets are $25 and are available at
