Spring Flower Show – through April 27th at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. in Buffalo. In addition to beautiful spring flowers, the event features Farmer Brown’s Animals daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a visit from the Easter Bunny (April 12th, 13th, 18th ad 19th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and the annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19th at 11 a.m. (pre-registration only – this event often sells out quickly!). William Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday – Wednesday, April 23rd from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Market Arcade Building, 617 Main St. in Buffalo. Celebrate the Bard’s birthday with local actors presenting his famous sonnets and monologues, and some birthday sweets as well. Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend – Friday through Sunday, April 25th through 27th at participating wineries on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Sample wines and cheeses on this self-guided tour of more than 30 wineries. Hours are Friday 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; tickets are $35 per person ($25 for designated drivers) in advance and $40 at the door – find out more about www.senecalakewine.com.
Sunday in the Cemetery – Sunday, April 27th at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo.
