But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Usually when people read this scripture they concentrate on building up their faith in God. And that is important in this scripture. But in dissecting it we see that we need to have a desire to please our heavenly Father.
Afterall we attempt to please those around us all the time. We try to please our mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, teachers, supervisors etc.. So why not please our creator – first and utmost. Look at the work he put into pleasing us! He designed us miraculously.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
He created the earth just for us, with much thought and decisiveness.
And most of all He made a way for us to be able to live with Him forever in peace and serenity!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So believe in Him, confide in Him and have faith in Him. You will be richly rewarded for your efforts!
